Maffra Pumper
The Maffra Pumper is a Type 3 Pumper and constructed on a Hino FF172 Series, two wheel drive, 4 speed automatic, diesel powered crew cab chassis. The vehicle incorporates a Thompson 650 pump fitted at the rear of the appliance which is driven by the vehicle's engine through a split shaft power take off. The pumper is fitted with a rubber mounted fibreglass body combined with a 1400 litre first aid water tank and a 200 litre foam tank.
The Maffra Pumper is a CFA issued appliance and was issued to the Maffra Fire Brigade in November 2004, after is was previously stationed at Churchill. The Pumper is the brigade's primary attack vehicle for structure fires and can convey a crew of 6 to incidents.
