Maffra Tanker
The current Maffra Tanker is a Hino 3.4C Tanker which replaced the previous Isuzu 3.4D Tanker. More details on the 3.4C Tanker will be uploaded soon...
This is Maffra Tanker. Maffra Tanker is a CFA issue vehicle, and is our primary response vehicle for wildfire. It is an ISUZU Cab Chassis, with a CFA body constructed by Skilled Engineering in Ballarat.
The tanker is 3.4D, which means that it is 3000Lt. 4 wheel drive diesel. It is fitted with A class foam, and has a live hose reel. At just over 3.1meters high and 13 tons, it is the biggest vehicle in our fleet. We received the tanker in January 2000 and it has attended many large incidents in the state, including a 28 day stint at the recent North East Fires.
