MSC CFA Youth Crew

Since the initialisation of the Victorian Youth Development Program in 1997, the Maffra Fire Brigade has actively supported the Maffra Secondary College's CFA Youth Crew in a number of ways. Some of these are:

Supplying vehicles for training
Supplying equipment necessary for training
Supplying the necessary members to support the youth crew with training and camps.

The Maffra Fire Brigade has been involved in the program since its initialisation, and intends to support the youth crew for many years to come. The brigade itself has gained significant benefits from the program, with the influx of new younger members into the brigade. Taught by Dave Montague, 1st Lt of Valencia Creek Rural Fire Brigade and DGO 4 (Deputy group officer) of the Maffra Group, the youth crew thrives.

The youth crews over the past few years have also supported the brigade in a number of ways, including:

Supplying members to collect for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal
Helping with members for the Maffra Show
Providing members to help with the Maffra Mardi Gras parade
Assisting our Community Safety and Education team leader with the Brigade's In Schools Program.

The Maffra Secondary College CFA Youth Crew would like to thank the following members for their continuing support:
